Project Description

66 Slater St. is a 22 floor commercial office building in downtown Ottawa, which was originally constructed in 1969. The gross floor area of the building is approximately 27,406 m2 (295,000 ft2).

The building consists of a 22 floor office tower and a two story lower podium. Several upgrades were implemented immediately prior to pursuing LEED including a new reflective roof, building wide installation of water efficient plumbing fixtures, and several energy efficiency upgrades.

The main tenant of the building is Public Works and Government Services Canada. Several branches of the federal government occupy floors in the building including the Privy Council for Canada, Department of National Defense, Veterans Affairs Canada, Public Service Commission of Canada, Ethics Commission, and Aboriginal Affairs Canada.
